When you're craving Mexican food in Arizona, nothing quite compares to the chilaquiles from MartAnne's Burrito Palace. This breakfast delicacy features tortilla chips scrambled with eggs, cheese, green onions, green or red sauce, and pork or chorizo. Nobody does chilaquiles like MartAnne's, and locals are very aware of that fact. People come from all over the state for them, and there's a reason why!
Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Flagstaff, MartAnne's Burrito Palace doesn't look like much on the outside... but locals know it's the place to go when a craving for Mexican food strikes.
The space is cozy and intimate, and the ambiance warm and inviting. Everyone who steps inside is made to feel like family.
While the restaurant is called MartAnne's Burrito Palace, burritos aren't actually their claim to fame.
That prestigious honor goes to a breakfast food known as chilaquiles: toasted corn tortilla chips scrambled with eggs, green onions, cheese, and red sauce, green sauce, or both.
MartAnne's offers several different ways to enjoy their signature dish. Get your chilaquiles with chorizo, green chile pork, or try the famous "J.B.'s Volcano," which features both types of meat plus sour cream and an over-medium egg.
If you prefer to live life on the sweet side, other breakfast options include French toast, pancakes, and sweet and savory combination plates.
Savory morning eats include omelets and other egg dishes such as huevos rancheros, fiesta potatoes, and - of course - breakfast burritos.
The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, with menu items running the gamut of Mexican classics like burritos, tacos, quesadillas, plate specials, and more.
You'll also see an extensive drink list, which includes everything from a delightful Bloody Mary for brunch to margaritas and mojitos.
Don't forget about dessert! The fried ice cream, Mexican donuts, banana chimichangas, and flan are simply too good to pass up - no matter how full you are.
