What’s better than a plate of tacos? What a perfectly balanced, fresh, and sometimes even (dare we say it) healthy option for lunch or dinner. Whether you choose shrimp, chicken, or something really creative, there are seemingly endless options for this miracle food.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
If you love tacos as much as we do, you have to try this road trip around the Sunshine State.
1. Finns Island Style Grub, Panama City Beach
Our first stop is Finns Island in beautiful Panama City Beach. That means you have to try these fresh fish tacos. It's a small and simple place with outdoor tables only, but these tacos will keep you coming back for more.
2. Cabo's Island Grill & Bar, Tallahassee
Amazingly, this brightly colored surf shop is not only famous for the best tacos in town, but also the best burgers. That's a win-win to us!
3. TacoLu, Jacksonville Beach
You could probably guess from the name that this is the place to get tacos in the Jacksonville/Jax Beach area. With a fun and funky atmosphere and amazing food, they've earned quite a following. So arrive early if you want to avoid a wait.
4. Sandbar Sports Grill, Cocoa Beach
Both locals and tourists love this hangout for its relaxed atmosphere and proximity to the beach. For live music and lots of fun, this is the place to be.
5. Avocado Grill, West Palm Beach
Going a little more upscale than the last stop, we have the Avocado Grill in West Palm Beach, where you'll find delicious farm-to-table offerings in a classy setting. What more can you ask for?
6. The Taco Spot, Hollywood
This incredible hidden gem serves up creative Mexican-Asian fusion dishes. Gorgeous views and tasty specialty drinks only add to the experience.
7. Garbo's Grill, Key West
This little mom and pop shop (trailer actually) serves up tasty tacos with a smile. The mindblowing Korean BBQ tacos are unlike anything you've ever had.
8. Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille, Fort Myers Beach
This lively waterfront spot with live music can be reached by car or boat. It's easy to be swept away by the casual charm of such a lovley location and delicious food. There are also locations on Captiava and Sanibel islands.
9. Capital Tacos, Land O Lakes
There's something for everyone at this low-key (yet much lauded) local spot. With the freshest ingredients and most authentic preparations, Capital Tacos will quickly become one of your favorite Florida taquerias.
