17 Fascinating Spots In Florida That Are Straight Out Of A Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, there was a magical land full of sunshine. There were sugar-sand beaches, waters that looked like liquid jewels, and enchanted forests where everything seemed to grow twice as fast. There were caves and castles, and even singing towers. The place even sounded magical: Florida, the land of flowers. Here are a few of our favorite spots in Florida that could easily be the setting of a fairy tale.
1. There's definitely a princess somewhere in the Castle Otttis in St. Augustine
2. And there are definitely fairies riding acorn caps down the waterfalls of Rainbow Springs State Park.
3. These banyan trees in Winter Haven surely become an enchanted forest at night.
4. Little Red Riding Hood might not love Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Chipley as much as we do.
5. The Don CeSar in St. Petersburg looks like it was dreamed up by a fairy godmother.
6. There could definitely be an old witch living inside this abandoned barn near Micanopy.
7. I always knew I would recognize Rapunzel's tower if I saw it in real life. My money is on the majestic Bok Tower.
8. Snow White's seven dwarfs have definitely been mining in the Florida Caverns in Marianna.
9. The Ancient Spanish Monastery in North Miami Beach looks like it could be the medieval home of a knight in shining armor.
10. And if the Little Mermaid were real, she would surely be chilling at Weeki Wachee, trying to blend in. Where else is she going to find a job?
11. This house near Crescent City is certainly where Goldilocks encountered three Florida black bears.
12. Vizcaya and its gardens on Biscayne Bay are clearly hiding some magical secrets.
13. There has to be a wish-granting fish in the enchanted waters of the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables.
14. This photo of Ravine Gardens State Park could have been ripped from the pages of Grimms' Fairy Tales.
15. You just know Sacred Hills in Edward Medard Park in Plant City got its name for a reason.
