Eola General Store in Florida is your one-stop shop for all things breakfast, lunch, and picnic-related.
The general store was built back in 1937, which is quite the history for a place in Orlando. But the owners have curated a modern menu that is very different from the building’s historic past.
The building itself is zoned for use as a general store but is smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood, which makes it feel like it’s in the middle of nowhere.
People frequent Eola General for a few reasons, but one of the most common involves the food. With a deli inside, this general store puts an emphasis on Swan City Bagels, fresh schmear, and true bodega-style deli sandwiches.
The deli is brimming with fresh meats and cheese, homemade pasta salads, and schmears - you can even walk away with a bottle of wine and a cheese board and sit outside under the trees.
Perhaps the most popular items on this menu are bagel sandwiches, which can include ingredients like fresh lox, avocado, hummus, egg, and so much more.
Even if you just want to keep it simple with your bagel, you will have ten different bagel types to choose from, plus thirteen different cream cheese or spreads on top.
The sandwiches are also worth checking out, with a wide variety that ranges from The Waldorf, a chicken salad sandwich on a fresh croissant, to the artichoke and broccolini, served with a garlic chive spread and mozzarella on a toasted filone loaf.
You don’t have to stick around to eat either - just simply order up at the deli counter and take everything with you, whether that be home to indulge on a lazy Sunday afternoon or over to the nearby lake for a waterside picnic.
