Even though we tried to strip it down to the basics, a day that encompassed all of the most iconic activities our state has to offer would still require a lot of driving and a lot of time. OK, so it’s probably impossible, but let’s just imagine what we would do on the most Florida Day ever:
You'll have to get up very early to fit all of this into your day, starting with a glass of Florida orange juice.
Rise before the sun and enjoy a glass of orange juice with your breakfast.
While enjoying your breakfast, quickly flip through a newspaper or catch a few minutes of the news.
It wouldn't be the most Florida Day ever without some weird news.
Hurry to the nearest beach to catch the perfect sunrise.
Unfortunately, you won't have a lot of time to enjoy it. Snap a few photos and get on the road.
Don't forget this very important ritual. Lather up with sunscreen and bug spray.
This is Florida, after all.
Get to Ichetucknee Springs by 8:00am to be there when it opens.
Tubing down this river should be on every Floridian's bucket list.
Grab one of our famous Cuban sandwiches for lunch.
If you can't find one, a Publix sub or any local seafood is an acceptable substitute.
Now let's head to Weeki Wachee and check out an awesome Florida landmark.
The city of live mermaids has been delighting guests of all ages since the 1940s.
Now hit the road to Disney World.
Not everyone will appreciate this step equally, so feel free to skip it if it's not your thing. We can only spend an hour or two here anyway, then we've got to be on the move again.
Time for an airboat ride through the Everglades.
Sure there may be better ways to see everything, but this is the fastest method we could think of.
Hopefully we'll still be able to see some awesome Florida wildlife.
Like alligators and the Florida panther, for example.
Whew, now there are only a couple more things to do.
Of course, you have to head to the nearest beach and watch the sunset.
Finally, grab some grub, and make sure you end the day with a slice Key lime pie.
Sounds like the perfect end to the perfect day.
