Here’s A Glimpse Of Life In Florida In 1939. WOW.
These stunning photos taken by Marion Post Wolcott for the United States Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information (FSA-OWI) give us a glimpse of an interesting time in our state’s history. In 1939, things were starting to improve for some, but the Great Depression was still in full swing in many areas. The captions have been provided below the photographs.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
