Do you find yourself yearning for Christmas during the summer? Not just because of the heat, but also because summer in Florida is a long stretch of the year with hardly any opportunity for sipping cocoa, wrapping presents, or singing in large groups. It’s also nearly impossible to find pumpkin spice or mint chocolate flavored anything. Unfortunately, we can’t promise you’ll find any of that in this small town in Florida, but at least it’s Christmas every single day of the year in Christmas, Florida (literally).

Christmas In Florida

Are there any Christmas towns in Florida?
You would think a state that doesn't get much (if any) snow each year might not have a typical Christmas town. But just because we don't share a love of snow, it doesn't mean we don't go all out for Christmas. Here are some Christmas towns in Florida worth making a special winter trip to see:

  • St. Augustine, FL: You may not know this, but St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States. It is also one magical Christmas town in Florida. Not only is the town festive and bright with lots of twinkling lights but its Nights of Lights festival, which starts in November and goes all throughout January, is a spectacular celebration. When you see the old Spanish Colonia architecture filled with millions of lights you'll understand why.
  • New Smyrna Beach, FL: The Christmas on Canal celebration in this vibrant beach town starts at the end of November with a tree-lighting ceremony. Throughout the holiday season, you can take part in street parades, the Southeast Volusia’s Holiday Boat Parade, and the Coastal Christmas Market. There is something extra special about a beach town decked out in Christmas lights that really adds an extra feeling of magic and wonder - the balmy evening weather doesn't hurt either.
  • Fernandina Beach, FL: This small town on Amelia Island is a fun festive Christmas village surrounded by water. Over the holidays it transforms into a Victorian-era English village for the Dickens on Centre event. Expect to see performers dressed up to match the times, live entertainment, carolers, parades, train rides, and plenty of dazzling lights.
