Santa’s workshop may be a long way from Wisconsin, but we’ve got a close second here in the Badger State – and it’s the Wisconsin Wagon Company. However, unlike its North Pole counterpart, Wisconsin Wagon Company offers tours, which provide a sneak peek into its toy-making gallery. Take a look:
Janesville boasts a ton of history – and the Wisconsin Wagon Company is part of that history.
Dating back to 1915, it's long been synonymous with handmade wooden toys, most notably the Janesville Coaster Wagon.
Lots of things have changed over the years, but not everything. For example, the company uses historically relevant designs to create its signature wagons and wooden toys.
And just like in years past, master craftsmen are responsible for building each and every item, which you can see for yourself thanks to the company’s tours.
The tours, which are by appointment only, are offered Monday – Friday, from January – November.
During the one-hour tour, you’ll experience the entire manufacturing process from start to finish.
Experienced tour guides, along with opportunities for hands-on fun, make tours that much more memorable.
It all comes to an end in the display area, which is stocked with items that are available for purchase.
If you’re unable to purchase an item the day of the tour, don’t worry. All of the Wisconsin Wagon Company’s products are available online and can be shipped anywhere.
Like a magical trip down memory lane, a visit to Wisconsin Wagon Company is practically guaranteed to delight the young and old alike!
Remember, tours must be scheduled in advance and are $5 per person.
