The One Epic Slide In Wisconsin You Need To Ride This Winter Is Found At Lowell Park
Lowell Park in Waukesha offers thrilling winter activities including sledding and toboggan runs, making it a must-visit for families and thrill-seekers.
Some classic winter experiences never get old. In Waukesha, a sledding hill and toboggan run is just as much fun as it was decades ago – it’s an awesome destination for kids of all ages and it's something that you must experience if you’re a winter thrill seeker. It can all be found in Lowell Park and it’s one of the best Wisconsin sledding hills. Here’s why.
Lowell Park is a public park on the West side of Waukesha that’s only about 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. It’s a destination for year-round fun, with softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a playground, and a natural area.
It offers far more winter fun than a typical city park. It has a warming shelter, an ice skating rink, as well as an awesome sledding hill and two huge toboggan runs.
While the sledding hill and rink here is pretty great, the toboggan runs are truly epic. They stretch 350 feet and have lights so the fun continues past sunset.
The park is a very popular winter destination for families andf groups but don’t worry, the line moves quickly. It doesn't take people long to get down these toboggan runs!
The wooden runs are huge and when you’re rocketing down the run you’ll feel like you’re flying - while hanging on to an old wooden sled!
You don’t need a thing to enjoy this winter experience but warm winter clothes and boots and the desire to have a good time. You can rent a toboggan at the hill, or purchase a cheaper pass and use your own.
