Strawberries. It seems with the last 12 months being as they were, we could all use a strawberry-infused day - or weekend. We're happy to deliver the good news that one is rapidly approaching in South Carolina later this month! Get ready for the Lowcountry Strawberry Festival, taking place in Mount Pleasant April 29th through May 2nd, with four fun-filled days of fun and games, family togetherness - and of course, loads of freshly picked strawberries.
What goes better with the emergence of spring than freshly ripened strawberries picked right from the vine?
You'll be able to pick until your heart's content at the annual Lowcountry Strawberry Festival taking place at Boone Hall in Mount Pleasant.
Come for the beautiful weather, the rides, the festive atmosphere, and then of course, leave with a basket or two of luscious strawberries.
The event features enough attractions to spend at least half a day enjoying it all - including a petting zoo the whole family will love.
You can also look forward to acrobatic dog shows, pig races, live entertainment, a three-story slide tower, playground area, contests, and more.
Plus, there will be free tractor rides to the enormous strawberry fields.
Tickets for festival admission are adults (ages 12 and up) $12, kids ages 2-11 $8, children age 1 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Tickets for the rides are an additional cost.
The U-Pick Strawberries will only be available during limited hours and as long as strawberries are still available. The U-Pick hours are: Thursday, April 29 - no u-pick times, Friday, April 30 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday May 1 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday May 2 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Learn more from the official website for Boone Hall Plantation.
