Summer’s quickly barreling towards its end, and that means the waterparks and amusement parks will soon close until next spring. If you haven’t been to Sandcastle Waterpark in Pittsburgh yet this season, you still have a few more weekends to hit the waves, zip down the slides, and enjoy the summer sun.
Life has certainly been different at Sandcastle Waterpark this season, with social distancing and other safety measures put into effect to help protect guests during the pandemic.
As local schools and colleges begin the new year, the popular Pittsburgh water park will only operate on weekends through Labor Day. That means there’s still time for you to…
Head to the park to enjoy one of those carefree days that will whisk you back to childhood.
For a heart-pounding adventure that will make you feel like a kid again, zip down the 400-foot Tubers Tower.
Lightning Express, on the other hand, drops just 60 feet, but you’ll also fall down two dips and a free fall slide.
If you prefer something a little more relaxing, meander down the Lazy River or ride the waves in the wave pool.
What would a visit to a water park be without all of the delicious goodies that go along with it? Treat yourself to a hearty helping of fries and cheese from the Potato Patch, Italian ice from Rita’s, or a burger from the All American Grille.
Before you head to Sandcastle, make sure you’re agreeable to the safety guidelines, which include wearing a mask. You’re also asked to maintain six feet from guests not in your party.
You must agree to a temperature check upon arriving at the park and to washing your hands frequently with soap and water.
You can purchase tickets for the final days of the season on the official website of Sandcastle Waterpark. Or, stop by Facebook for more information.
