Winter’s barreling toward its end. Before we know it, we’ll have schedules jam-packed with fun springtime activities and events. Spring certainly wouldn’t be the same without a visit to this maple festival in Pennsylvania that will celebrate its 73rd season in 2020. Fortunately, you’ll have plenty of time to plan a visit to this epic seven-day festival.
Join in on the fun at The Pennsylvania Maple Festival, in Meyersdale, set for March 28-29 and April 1-5 2020. The classic annual tradition boasts a full schedule of family-friendly activities.
Can you think of a better way to start your day at the festival than with a scrumptious breakfast? The Lions Club will host a pancake and sausage breakfast, beginning at 8 a.m. each day of the festival.
Demonstrations will be held at the Sugar Shack and Sugar Camp, where you’ll learn how maple syrup and other items using maple are made. You’ll also have the chance to…
Taste fresh Spotza at Maple Festival Park. Head over to Main Street or remain in the park, in fact, when you get hungry. There, you’ll find a collection of food and other crafting vendors.
Some of the crafters on hand will even demonstrate their craft. Talk with re-enactors who will provide insight into the history of Meyersdale and the surrounding area.
Bring the kiddos along to the Kids’ Korner. The little ones can get their faces painted and make crafts. Other activities will also be planned.
For a relaxing adults-only experience, stop by the Sit & Sip Garden, slated for March 28-29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christian Klay Winery, Whitehorse Brewery, and Tall Pines Distillery will all be on hand for…
Wine, beer, and moonshine tasting. Make sure you try the delicious maple beer, too.
The Pennsylvania Maple Festival will also feature live entertainment and an agricultural fair. Don’t forget to stop by The Country Store for a crisp pickle, homemade bread, or a handful or more of penny candy.
