Winter often keeps people indoors, especially when the temps are well below zero. But when you live in a place like North Dakota, sometimes you just have to embrace the cold and make do with it. The state's biggest city has created an event that makes cold, cool - and you don't want to miss it this year. Bundle up and get ready for all this:
On the weekend of January 26, 2018, Fargo, North Dakota's third annual Frostival will be taking place.
The kick-off day will be Friday, where many people will gather in downtown Fargo and enjoy food, live music, and a cocoa cook off.
You can also take a clydesdale-pulled carriage ride through the city lights by the Dakota Carriage Company.
After Friday, the rest of the festivities will take place throughout the day on Saturday in various parts of the city. These include things like the North of Normal games and even chilly "snowga," or snow yoga!
Ice skating, cross country skiing, and disc golf are other fun activities you can look forward to - just make sure you bundle up warm!
Check out the cardboard sled race and watch as teams bounce down the snowy hill.
Take making a snowman to the extreme like these amazing snow sculptures there. No matter the temperature, Frostival is sure to be a blast - even if it's an icy one!
This year's Frostival will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018, and will continue the next day beginning at 8:00 AM. For an entire schedule of all the events taking place, visit the Frostival website by clicking here. The festivities will be held in various places around Fargo, North Dakota.
