Digging for treasures at flea markets and antique stores is an adventure that can last from a couple of hours to all day, and at Poor Charlie's Flea Market and Antiques in New Bern, the latter is more the case. Bring some comfortable footwear and prepare to browse through 4,000 square feet of merchandise in this colossal old warehouse.
Located on Hancock Street in the charming historic district of New Bern, Poor Charlie's is believed by some to be the second oldest business in New Bern (population, about 30,000).
Step inside to discover an eclectic mix of antiques and unique flea market finds. It really is the best of both worlds!
In one moment you may find an old antique in pristine condition, and in the next...
A unique group of items that, well... you'd expect to find in a low-key flea market. From collectibles to items for the home, you're bound to find a little of everything while combing through the massive store.
Even the space, itself, is amazing. The historic old warehouse has impressive exposed beams high overhead and skylight windows built into the roof.
The warehouse location is an added bonus. Since you're right in the heart of downtown New Bern, there are many restaurants and shops to explore nearby.
