Cold Springs Cemetery is thought to be haunted by a girl who was murdered here while hitchhiking. Many people have reported stories of feeling a strange presence or hearing voices while even driving past this cemetery.
Goose Hill is a small cemetery, but it is one of the more storied haunted cemeteries near Buffalo. The cemetery itself consists of roughly 30 grave sites. People have claimed to see apparitions and hear voices coming from the surrounding forest. Creepy!
Elmlawn Cemetery is beautiful by day, but some have claimed to have seen orbs and lights shining from the cemetery grounds between the "witching hours" of 12-3 AM.
Old Main Cemetery is believed to be haunted by the spirit of a Native American named Kauquatau. It is thought that the cemetery has been cursed, and even the mention of Kauquatau's name on the grounds can produce grave results (no pun intended).
6. East Otto Cemetery (E. Otto Road, East Otto, NY)
If tales of ax-wielding murderers give you chills, East Otto Cemetery is the place for you. This is one of the creepiest haunted cemeteries near Buffalo. It has been said that you can hear the screams of headless women running throughout this spooky spot.
The West Main Cemetery is located along the northern banks of Tonawanda Creek. When the town moved the cemetery in Batavia to its current location (pictured above), it is thought that they left a few bodies behind. Some of which, it has been told, can be seen wandering the shores of the creek to this day.
