It turns out that there's one city in Nevada that does just that for one night only. The Reno Zombie Crawl is an annual zombie festival that takes place in October every year. This one-night event is pretty famous 'round these parts and some people plan a trip to Reno specifically to take part in the fun. Every year, the Biggest Little City in the World hosts a one-of-a-kind event that combines the city's love of partying with pop culture's current obsession with the undead. The Reno Zombie Crawl even made it onto the list of "Top 10 Costumed Halloween Parties in the U.S." by USA Today and it's easy to see why.
On average, this one-night event hosts approximately 20,000 participants. That's a lot of zombies! The pub crawl features more than 50 bars and restaurants, live entertainment, an exclusive photo booth, and so much more. It's one of the largest and most epic Halloween parties in the nation and it's a must for any horror enthusiast.
This year, the Reno Zombie Crawl will take place on October 20 from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am. Spend an entire evening walking around downtown Reno among other "zombies". Admission is only $5 and reserves you a commemorative crawl cup and map. Discounts on downtown hotel rooms are also offered so you don't have to miss out on any of the action.
People don't mess around when it comes to the zombie crawl. Don't be afraid to go all out with guts and gore when creating your costume. Just remember, the bloodier the better!
One of the highlights of this unique event is the annual performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" underneath the Reno arch. More than 1,000 people get together to perform the iconic "zombie" dance as a huge crowd cheers them on. We know you know the dance so feel free to join in on the fun!
