Angel's Ladies Brothel, located in Beatty, is probably best-known for its crashed plane marking its entrance. The brothel was purchased in 1997 by Mac Moore—a retired undertaker—and his wife Angel—for whom the brothel is named. Moore originally bought the property because of its 77-acre garden and spring-fed pool. The brothel itself was an afterthought and began with nine prostitutes who worked out of the famous pink trailer. Business blossomed and nearly 3,000 people were "serviced" at the brothel each year until it closed in August 2014. This abandoned brothel is best known for the plane crash near the front sign.

2. Arriving at the brothel, one cannot help but notice the large plane wreckage by the entrance sign.

5. In 1978, Fran (the owner of Fran’s Star Ranch & Brothel) contacted pilots and jumpers with her promotional idea to place a mattress within a star in the parking lot, and if any jumper could land on the mattress would win a night with the lady of his choice. As would be expected, things went terribly wrong and the plane crashed. Luckily, nobody was injured.
6. The crashed twin Beech D-18 has been sitting near the brothel's entrance since Fran's failed promotional stunt.
7. The abandoned airplane became a state landmark and conversation starter.

13. With time (and many visitors leaving their own "messages" on the plane), the wreckage looks like something out of a futuristic movie.
14. Imagine the stories this plane could tell.
15. The brothel has been closed since August 2014, and the building is falling into disrepair, not unlike its famous crashed airplane.
The abandoned Angel's Ladies Brothel in Beatty is more of a backdrop to the incredible plane wreckage that has "decorated" the property since 1978. Even though the brothel itself has been closed since 2014, visitors flock to the area to see the plane (and to add their own graffiti to it.) Have you visited this Nevada landmark?
