All across Missouri there are many spectacular vineyards that grow delicious grapes and make fantastic wines. There are now more than 130 wineries across the state and 400 vineyards that grow grapes for wines that are made all across the country. In the Show Me State there are 11 wine trails, and we want to tell you about three awesome trolleys that can take you on Missouri's most popular trails.
The oldest town in Missouri is also one of the oldest wine communities in the state. Wine making was brought to the Ste. Genevieve area with the French settlers in the late 1700s. By the mid 1800s ,German settlers brought more experience in wine making to the area and the industry boomed.
The Ste. Genevieve trolley is a great way to explore the wine trail. You'll get picked up at one of the downtown locations and enjoy a full day of winery hopping.
The trolley takes you and your group to four different wineries around Ste. Genevieve County. Riders can pay $20 and ride for the full day.

Explore some of the wineries along the Northwest Missouri Wine Trail. The Excelsior Springs Chamber Trolley takes guests on wine tours on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
This epic tour includes a meal at Willow Spring Mercantile and full tastings at three northern Missouri wineries. Plus you'll get an awesome wine tote to take home some bottles in!
This tour is the ultimate trip for a fantastic girls day! The tour is super popular and often sells out. To be sure the venues can accommodate each group, tickets must be purchased at least two days in advance.

Missouri's most popular wine destination is Hermann. Hermann, Missouri is actually the nations first vitacultural area and was established even before Napa Valley in California.
Take the Amtrak into Hermann and board the trolley right from the train station. The trolley will take you and your group to five of the best wineries in the area.
Best of all, you don't need reservations to take the trolley. However, you can reserve the entire trolley for parties or weddings!
Admission for the trolley is $20 for an entire day of riding. Sunday through Thursday the trolley operates from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday the trolley runs from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. For more information, visit their website here.
