This One Of A Kind Library Restaurant In Mississippi Is A Book Lover’s Dream Come True

Library Lounge, located in the historic Fairview Inn, offers a unique dining experience with a literary theme centered around celebrated Mississippi authors.

There’s nothing like a good book. There’s also nothing like a good meal. Luckily, you can find both at Library Lounge. Aptly named, the lounge is situated in an actual library from the 1900s. And though it hasn’t been a library for quite some time, it hasn’t lost any of its literary charm. Take a look:

Library Lounge is located inside the Fairview Inn, a boutique hotel in Jackson. (The lounge is open to the public, so you don’t have to be a guest to visit.)

Totally authentic, Library Lounge doesn’t just look like a library – it was actually a library back in 1908 when the inn was constructed.

Though it hasn’t been a functioning library for quite some time, it’s still stocked with books. But not just any books.

The literary collection at Library Lounge is themed around celebrated Mississippi authors, like Eudora Welty, John Grisham, William Faulkner, Willie Morris, and Tennessee Williams.

Almost as enticing as the setting is the fare, which includes an assortment of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and more.

Crafty cocktails and creative small plates are also on the menu, making Library Lounge a great place to grab some drinks and apps with friends.
