Some of Mississippi’s best sites require a bit of effort to get to. Take the Little Big Store, for example. It’s located off the beaten path, in the small town of Raymond. However, regardless of its remote locale, it belongs on your bucket list. Bound to be unlike any store you’ve ever visited, this one is housed in an old train depot and is full of "things from past decades." Take a look:
This is the Little Big Store. It’s located in Raymond, which is just outside of Jackson.
It’s housed in the former Raymond Train Depot, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
But the building isn’t the only part of the store that’ll remind you of yesteryear. The merchandise, which includes vintage records, magazines, and posters, is sure to transport you straight to the past.
A music enthusiasts dream, the former train depot is full of vinyl. The impressive selection includes LPs, 45s, and old 78 rpm records as well as CDs, cassettes, reel-to-reels, and 8-tracks.
There are also vintage music magazines, posters, and an array of other music-related items.
Every nook and cranny of the store is packed with unique merchandise, so you’re practically guaranteed to find an item (or two) that you can’t live without.
In addition to searching for music treasures at Little Big Store, you can sell your old record collections, books, magazines, memorabilia, and stereo equipment.
