Massachusetts may have some brutal winters, but the summers can be equally intense. Plenty of Bay Staters head to the beach to beat the heat during the warmer months, but this state is also home to quite a few awesome water parks. Though there are some larger, well-known parks, this smaller water park is a great option for families or anyone looking to avoid crowds.
Great Wolf Lodge is an awesome water park in Fitchburg. It's packed with fun rides, slides, and splash zones.
This indoor park is the perfect way to spend a summer day, whether you prefer to relax or are looking for an adrenaline rush. There are plenty of soothing spots as well as heart-pumping activities.
Hop on thrill rides like the Howlin’ Tornado, which allows guests to ride inside a massive funnel, or experience a high-speed rush on the towering Wolf Tail drop.
Feel like taking it easy? Slide into the North Hot Springs, float around Crooked Creek, or chill out with an icy drink in one of the park’s rentable cabanas.
Not summer? No problem! The indoor water park is kept at a balmy 84 degrees even during the chilliest months. The water is just cool enough to be refreshing.
The water park is available for free to guests of the lodge, but non-guests can now purchase day passes to visit the park. Passes are $60 per adult and include free life jackets for the whole family and free passes for kids under two.
