By late August, the orchard will typically begin to offer U-pick apples.

Kids will love the unique playground at Eckert's, which is open from the middle of August through fall.
There is an admission cost for kids that varies based on the date, so check the website for that. And also keep in mind that some attractions within the playground may vary, such as the large pumpkin jumping pad. But even just the regular playground - which is anything but regular - is a blast.
