For a thrilling and refreshing experience on a hot summer day, a visit to an Idaho waterpark is a must. Our state is home to a handful of amazing waterparks, but there's one that has especially proven itself to be an adrenaline-pumping good time. Boasting a plethora of spectacular waterslides, including one of the most unique in the entire Northwest, you'll find endless amounts of fun and adventure at this beloved summer destination. Take a ride down one of Idaho's best waterslides—the first of its kind in the state—and prepare for the thrill of a lifetime!
When it comes to epic aquatic attractions, Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian, Idaho has definitely made a name for itself. This thrilling waterpark has something for everyone, including one of the most unique waterslides in the state.
In 2014, Roaring Springs debuted a spiffy new waterslide called Corkscrew Cavern. Not only does this slide have a snappy name, but it's considered the first 360-degree looping waterslide in the entire Northwest.
Be aware: this slide is not for the faint of heart. Riders will step into the launching capsule and wait for the trap door to drop before being propelled into a narrow enclosed tunnel. G-force glues the rider to the slide while they zoom through the tunnel at top speeds of 38-feet per second.
Corkscrew Cavern is definitely one of the most thrilling attractions in the park, but the fun doesn't stop there for adrenaline junkies. The Cliffhanger is another monster of a slide in which riders wait for the trap door to open and drop them in a nearly vertical plunge six stories high.
Another one-of-a-kind attraction includes The Avalanche. On this spectacular ride, you and a friend will raft up and down the sides of the "mountain" at super high speeds. Be sure to hold on tight!
Thrills not your thing? Don't worry. There is plenty at the park for those who like to take it easy. Relax and catch your breath while floating around the park's endless lazy river.
Young children will find hours of entertainment in the park's newest attraction called Bearfoot Bay. Officially open to the public this summer, the area is comprised of three slides, a plethora of play features, a shallow wading pool, and plenty of shaded spots to keep parents cool while they watch.
Roaring Springs Waterpark, complete with exciting slides like Corkscrew Cavern, is constantly proving itself as the summer destination for families looking for some refreshing fun. Challenge yourself to conquer your fears and pay them a visit soon!
