Six Gun Territory was a 200-acre amusement park in Ocala made to look like a town from the Old West. It ran from 1963 to 1984, when the decline in Wild West fervor and the popularity of Disney World finally put Six Gun Territory out of business. In its heyday, though, it was a really cool place to spend a day with your family. Visitors would take a steam train ride to get into the town, where they could see gunfights, saloon shows, various rides, an Indian village, and more.
If you were one of the thousands of visitors that got to see Six Gun Territory before it closed its doors, this vintage home movie will take you right back:
It's never too late in Florida to enjoy some waterpark fun, am I right? But if you really want to try something unique, I recommend heading to Rapids Water Park in Riviera Beach for Florida's first and only dueling water coaster. Dubbed Mega Mayhem, this water coaster has been declared the longest dueling coaster of its kind, and you can battle your friends to see who shoots to the bottom the fastest.

Rapids Waterpark in Riviera Beach is South Florida's largest water park and the perfect place to spend a warm afternoon with family or friends.
Spanning over 35 acres with more than 40 rides and attractions, this park offers a lazy river, wave pool, surf simulator, and various slides.
However, this year, Rapids introduced Florida's only dueling water coaster, Mega Mayhem.
This thrilling ride stands nearly 54 feet tall and features two flumes over 1,600 feet long. Riders race side-by-side through twists, high-banked turns, and uphill sections, propelled by powerful blasts of water.
The unique experience includes three "blast zones" and four giant bowls, making for an exhilarating adventure.

Plus, it’s the ultimate competition with your friends!
If you want to check your position in the race, you'll catch glimpses of your friends and family riding alongside you throughout the coaster. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall to ride with an adult and 48 inches tall to ride alone.
Designed by ProSlide Technology Inc., it is the longest dueling water coaster in North America and marks a milestone in the park's 45-year history.
The park is open daily through September 2nd and on weekends from September 7th to December 1st. So you have plenty of time to catch this dueling water coaster before the season ends.
Enjoy Florida’s only dueling water coaster, plus tons of other exciting rides when you visit Rapids Water Park.
