Long before there were any kind of modern facilities in the Glen Ivy valley, the mineral hot springs here were used by Native American tribes as a place of healing, ritual, and renewal. The first inn was constructed at the site of the hot springs just before 1900, and it has since grown into a resort-style destination surrounded by the tranquility of trees and mountains.
There are 19 different water experiences to choose from at Glen Ivy, each with its own specific atmosphere and physical benefits. The star of the show is this set of sulfur-rich spring-fed baths. The baths are filled with geothermal waters at 104 degrees, and a 15-minute soak is incredibly therapeutic.
Club mud is just what you need for perfectly exfoliated, detoxified, soft skin. Slip into the spring water pool and slather handfuls of red clay over your skin. Relax in the “Wafa” cave or on a lounge in the sun to let the clay dry before rinsing it off.
Glen Ivy’s secret subterranean cave, The Grotto, is an entire spa experience on its own, and one you can enjoy solo or with friends, with no time limit. Enjoy a warming body treatment in the cave that ends with tea, water, fruit, and relaxation in the cool grotto.
The Bath House, with separate facilities for men and women, features indoor Roman Bath-style pools, steam rooms, showers, makeup stations, and a TV playing sports.
Soak in the Epsom salt-filled Saline pool to calm the nerves, ease away tight joints and muscles, and reduce inflammation.
Saunas and steam rooms are available to increase circulation, reduce tension, and cleanse the body of toxins.
The long Vista Pool is rich in minerals such as magnesium, sulfur, sodium, potassium, and calcium to help stimulate the immune system. The scenic views of the mountains and sunsets from this pool are icing on the cake.
