Arizona's sprawling desert landscape is so vast, it would be impossible to explore entirely on foot. That's where the Sabino Canyon Crawler comes in! This one-of-a-kind trolley takes passengers on a rugged excursion through one of the most expansive canyons in the state. Even if you're an avid hiker, it's nice to change the pace every once in a while and try something a little different.
Hop on the Sabino Canyon Crawler to experience the rugged southern Arizona landscape like never before.
This emission-free, open-air shuttle takes passengers on a one-hour excursion through the vast Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Nine stops along the way let passengers customize the trip and take in the boundless scenery at their own pace.
As you descend ever-deeper into the canyon wilderness, be on the lookout for all sorts of flora and fauna.
Majestic Saguaros, eye-popping wildflowers, and myriad wildlife are just a few examples of the incredible diversity that exists here.
To further enhance the tour, everyone on-board receives a pair of headphones to enjoy guided narration of the sights and sounds you'll encounter.
Learn about the plant and animal life that lives in the canyon, what seasonal changes to expect, and important facts about the area, both historic and cultural in nature.
If you disembark at any of the stops, just take a leisurely stroll back to the Visitor Center once you're done exploring.
Alternatively, you can walk to any other stop, present your ticket to the shuttle driver, and hop back on to continue the tour.
A separate shuttle leads into Bear Canyon, home to the iconic Seven Falls.
The hike to the aptly named, seven-tiered waterfall is an intense 8.4 miles, and the ride shaves off a fair amount of distance.
Adult tickets are $12 for Sabino Canyon and $6 for Bear Canyon, while children ages 3-12 cost $7 and $4, respectively.
Infants under 3 ride at no charge. One-way tickets are available for both tours, and the price for both age groups is the same as a round-trip child ticket.
Address: 5700 North Sabino Canyon Road, Tucson, AZ 85750.
