The Nanticoke Heritage Byway Is A Back Road You Didn’t Know Existed But Is Perfect For A Scenic Drive In Delaware
We’re constantly hearing that rural Sussex county needs some love. After all, most of the slower lower tourists go to the beaches and completely skip the western part of the First State. If you think there’s nothing to do in Sussex County, think again! Exploring Delaware’s back roads is a way to get to know your own backyard a little better.
Though this may be our most rural county, there are still so many historic treasures left to discover.
This home was built in 1859 and is maintained now as a pre-Civil War house museum by the Seaford Historical Society.
The Ferry has been running since 1793 and is one of the coolest ways to experience southern Delaware.
