In this case, “smartest” is defined by the number of people in the community with bachelor’s degrees or higher. The “Higher Education Ranking” listed under each photo refers to the percentage of the community’s population that has a bachelor’s degree or higher.
What’s North Star? It’s a community in New Castle County which includes Woodside Farm Creamery!
Designation: Census-Designated Place, Population: 7,655, Higher Education Rating: 68.6%
Arden, Ardentown and Ardencroft make the top 20 most highly educated communities in the state. Arden’s score is 51.1, Ardentown is 56.7, and Ardencroft is 41.2. These quaint villages populations combined is just over 1,000 residents.
