Delaware isn’t a particularly snowy state, so when we get a good storm, you should get out and enjoy it! Head to Killens Pond for some of the best winter hiking in the Delmarva region and you’ll find yourself with a new appreciation for the coldest, darkest season.

Unless we get hit with an unprecendented blizzard, you don't need snowshoes or any special equipment to hike the Pondside Trail in the snow. If you have microspikes, though, they'll give you more traction if the pathway has iced over.
