Driving Down This Haunted Delaware Road May Give You Nightmares
Delaware is full of hauntings – from the internationally known ghosts of Fort Delaware to the creepy local legends that keep residents awake at night. One such legend is that of Maggie’s Bridge on Route 78 in Seaford.

Legend says that over a century ago, a young pregnant woman named Maggie was traveling in a horse-drawn carriage. The horse spooked and the carriage flipped, causing Maggie to lose her head. Poor Maggie still haunts the spot where she lost her baby and lost her life, trying to find peace. If you drive onto the bridge at night and shout for Maggie, you'll often hear the sounds of a desperate woman, sobbing and screaming for her lost child.
