Delaware’s Adorable Bug and Bud Festival Is The Best Way To Welcome Spring
Winter is slowly winding down, and soon flowers will start to blossom in the First State! Celebrate the emergence of Spring in Delaware during Downtown Milford’s Bug and Bud Festival, dedicated to little ladybugs and the plants that make spring a true delight.
Milford's Bug and Bud Festival is one of the best ways to welcome spring into Delaware!
Since the Ladybug is the state bug of Delaware, this whole festival is dedicated to them! This year, the festival will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Plan your visit and enjoy shopping from dozens of local vendors selling arts, crafts, jewelry, food, and more.
The Bug and Bud Festival is the perfect time to get out into the Mispillion River and enjoy a relaxing paddle.
The more adventurous types will want to enter the river race! Kayakers and Canoers dress up and paddle full steam ahead to reach the end of the course first.
If your talent lies in other areas, don't fret! You can show off your skills by entering the pizza eating contest.
Crafty kids, families, and pets can enter the adorable parade, where ladybugs and trees come together to celebrate nature.
All day long, the streets of Milford are filled with the sound of music, from school orchestra performances to full band rock and roll.
