If you’re looking for a peaceful and scenic way to spend the day, gas up the car and head out on this beautiful Delaware drive. The Brandywine Valley Scenic Byway is only about 12.25 miles, but you can easily spend all day exploring. Along the way, you’ll travel from the city of Wilmington, up Route 52 (also known as the Kennett Pike) and back down Route 100, Montchanin Road.

Start your journey in Wilmington, at Rodney Square. Situated in front of the Hotel DuPont, this historic spot is named after a Delaware Revolutionary hero.

Wilmington's industrial history is on display as you travel away from Rodney Square. Be sure to keep an eye out for structures that date back decades.
