These 8 Awesome Cabins in Delaware Will Give You An Unforgettable Stay
If you’re starting to think about spring break and summer vacation, you might want to consider a stay in a cabin for an unforgettable night (or 14). Three of Delaware’s state parks and numerous private campgrounds offer simple yet super cabins surrounded by fun amenities and natural beauty. Take your sweetie for a secluded getaway or take the entire family for some old school fun.

People who visit Cape Henlopen have been asking about camping cabins for years, and they're finally here! With two rooms, beds for six, and locations just steps away from the seashore, you'd better book these fast! The cabins here are open year-round.

If you're looking for a cabin stay somewhere with plenty for the kids to do, this is the place. Yogi Bear and Boo Boo are on hand to lead dance parties, arts and crafts, and classic campground games. It's a bit of a hike to the beaches, but within a reasonable drive.

Killens Pond offers the only camping cabins in Kent County, and many who head to events mid-state take advantage of the location. But more than that, these cabins are located within steps of the pond. The park has a water park (check for hours and openings), a beautiful nature center, many trails, and plenty of activities.

If you are looking for a more secluded place to stay, consider a cabin at Trap Pond. Located on the edge of the main campground, along a private drive, cabins sleep four and have a mini fridge, heat and A/C. The cabins are steps away from the pond, with some that have direct water views.

Reviews of Homestead all have one thing in common: they mention the warm, family atmosphere. Open from May 1 though the end of September, the cabins here sleep eight comfortably and up to 10, making for the largest cabins available. The campground also has some cabins that sleep four to six people. The amenities are plentiful and include a splash pad, pool, bark park for the pups, two playgrounds, a game room and more!

There are three different types of cabins available at Tall Pines, another family-friendly classic campground that's open year-round. Tall Pines is a short drive to beaches in Lewes and Rehoboth. But if you want to stay put, take advantage of the pool, mini golf course, fitness center, or one of the many activities hosted by Flicker, the camp mascot.

Similar to many of the other cabins, Holly Lake has log cabins for four or six. Offering your classic campground amenities, the added bonus here for the animal lovers is an on-site petting zoo.

Big Oaks boasts that it is the closest (private) campground to the beach, at just 2.5 miles from Rehoboth. Take advantage of the location, and cabins for six people, from May until October.
While Delaware doesn’t have private cabins for rent like in West Virginia or Pennsylvania, we think these eight places are still worth a visit, especially as an affordable, family-friendly, nature-centered option.
