The Washington DC Restaurant That’s One Of The Most Unique In America
You’ve been to a seafood place, a steak place, a burger place, maybe even a vegetarian place but have you ever been to a bird place? Well you will want to after you hear about one of DC’s newest restaurants: The Bird. At The Bird, you’ll enjoy a one of a kind experience at this unique restaurant.
The Bird sits at the corner of 11th and O Street and sticks to it’s bird theme with beautiful decor and exquisite dishes.
The experience begins by the unique art in the restaurant which begins as you make your way upstairs to the restaurant.
Each part of the restaurant is by a different artist and has its own unique vibe and feeling. But all of the decor is gorgeous and one of a kind.
And then there is the menu. The Bird features, you guessed it, every type of bird you can imagine.
They are open in the evenings, serving an “Early Bird” menu at 4 and dinner is available at 5pm. They serve ostrich, fried chicken, duck, guinea fowl and quail.
They are also open for brunch on the weekends where you can enjoy delicious items such as Birdy Breakfast, Chicken and Waffles or Fried Chicken Benedict.
The Bird also serves excellent speciality cocktails with whimsical names such as “The Way of the Dodo.” “The Owls are Not What They Seem,” and a “Silly Bird Called Phoenix.” You will enjoy drinking them as much as you enjoy ordering them!
The Bird is focused on locally sourced food and gets much of their fruits, vegetables and herbs from their own farm, Eat Well Natural Farm.
The Bird has only been open three months but it’s already making a big splash on the DC restaurant scene. There really is no other dining experience like it! Come stop by at 1337 11th St NW for a unique and delicious menu, an amazing atmosphere and a great experience.
Are you going to fly away to The Bird right now? (We couldn’t help ourselves!)
