DC pizza places have every type of pizza you could want, from thin crust to thick, New York style to Neapolitan, inexpensive and fancy. 2. Wiseguy NY Pizza - 300 Massachusetts Ave NW
DC does not try to compete with New York but Wiseguy Pizza on Massachusetts serves New York style pizza just as well as any place in Brooklyn! You’ll find classic, massive pies with house made mozzarella and delicious crusts.
3. Timber Pizza Company - 809 Ushur St NW
Timber Pizza was started by two local friends who began selling their delicious pies at local farmers markets. You’ll find wood-fired oven pizzas, innovative pizza combinations, a focus on local ingredients and authentic Neapolitan style pizza.
4. 2 Amys Neapolitan Pizzeria - 3715 Macomb St NW
2 Amys started as a neighborhood secret but quickly became known around the city for their delicious Neapolitan style pizza. A gem in DC, they always serve consistently delicious personal sized pizzas perfection!
5. Pizzeria Paradiso - 2003 P St NW
Pizzeria Paradiso is a cozy spot in Dupont Circle serving terrific pizza and a huge craft beer list. Grab a seat on the patio and try the regular favorites such as the traditional Margherita, spicy Atomic or satisfying Bosco Pizza.

Fast casual and delicious, Pete’s is a local chain serving delicious Connecticut or New Haven Style pizza. Their specialty pizzas with their inventive ingredient combinations are a hit, like the Boola Boola or Edge of the Woods.
8. Vace - 3315 Connecticut Ave NW
Since 1976, this old-school Italian deli has been serving amazing pizza in DC. Authentic Italian pies has a tried and true formula with delicious sweet sauce, fresh mozzarella and mouth-watering crusts.
9. District of Pi - 910 F St NW
If you want deep dish pizza that is just as good as Chicago’s, you come to District of Pi in Penn Quarter. You can split their pies into two specialties if you want to mix and match. District of Pi gets an extra edge using cornmeal style crust.
10. Matchbox - 713 H St NW
Matchbox has tons of locations in the DMV area but the one in Chinatown near the Verizon center is one of the best. They serve incredible wood fired brick oven pizzas that are worth the wait (which you will probably have to deal with). Try the Fire & Smoke for an extra kick!
11. Graffiato - 707 6th St NW
Top Chef Mike Isabella’s Graffiato is an Italian eatery in Chinatown. The pizzas are delicious thin crust pies with creative toppings and unique twists. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Jersey Shore pie which is topped with calamari.
12. Menomale Pizza Napoletana - 2711 12th St NE
A true DC gem, you will find Naples style pizza featuring ingredients sourced from the Campania region of Italy. It is as authentic and traditional as it can be and it some of the best pizza in the entire city!
