There may not be a DC-style pizza like there is in Chicago or New York but that just means Washingtonians have their options open here. No matter what style pizza you enjoy, thin crust or thick; Italian or New York; you’ll find it in DC. This was a tough list to put together with so many contenders, but here’s the ultimate pizza bucket list for Washington DC.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
1. 2 Amys Neapolitan Pizzeria
2 Amys is one of the original Neapolitan pizza places in DC and to this day, they still do it right. Their pizza always has the freshest ingredients and we recommend ordering them "well done" to give them that extra crispy crust.

2. Comet Ping Pong
Comet Ping Pong serves delicious thin-crust, seasonal pies in a really fun atmosphere. Come for the awesome pizza and stay for the games!

3. Wiseguy Pizza
If you love New York style pizza, you will love Wiseguy Pizza. They make it their mission to bring New York to DC through each and every delicious bite of pizza.

4. District of Pi
District of Pi serves delicious Chicago style deep dish pizza. These pizza have a thick crust and are smothered in savory chunky tomato sauce. You should definitely bring your appetite!

5. Pete’s New Haven Apizza
New Haven style pizza is known for its thin, crispy, chewy and slightly burnt crust. Pete’s has successfully made this style a DC favorite and they offer a wide variety of pies and they even serve gluten free pies!

6. Pizzeria Paradiso
Pizzeria Paradiso has been one of DC’s go-to pizza places for 25 years! They served pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven and topped with the best ingredients. They also have an extensive beer list.

There are 15 different locations now for &pizza, the popular DC-original pizza place. Their unique pizzas have incredible flavors and styles and you can build your own to match your cravings!
8. Ledo Pizza
Ledo Pizza originally opened in Adelphi, Maryland but their franchises have since spread into the district. Their square pies have puff pastry-like crusts and juicy tomato sauce.
9. Alberto’s Pizza
You might miss Alberto’s if you’re not looking for its. It’s tucked away in a basement space on P Street but you should seek it out if you want really deep dish Chicago style pizza. They also serve delicious thin crust if that’s your preference.
2010 P St NW
Vace is technically an Italian store but they still serve fantastic pizza and it’s almost like a hidden gem in DC! There’s no place to sit and eat your pizza but no matter where you eat it, you’ll love the authentic Italian pizza with a crispy crust.
3315 Connecticut Ave NW
There are many places in DC to get a jumbo slice but Duccini’s might top the list. They bring just the right blend of cheese, sauce, grease and satisfying crust.
