Washington DC has quite the restaurant scene. In every neighborhood, you can spot the latest hot spots by looking for the long lines of people that frequently wrap around the block (we’re looking at you Rose’s Luxury!). The big crowds are not for everyone though and when you want an amazing dining experience that’s a little less busy, you just need to hop in the car and head to Potomac, Maryland where this charming hidden restaurant has been serving amazing food since the 1800s.
Old Angler’s Inn opened in 1860 and is located in a quiet piece of Potomac, far from other restaurants and businesses.
Old Angler’s Inn was originally built to serve the those journeying to and from the Nation’s Capital and those living in the Maryland countryside. During the Civil War, both Union and Confederate soldiers stayed at the inn. It continues to maintain its legendary hospitality.
Old Angler's Inn offers incredible service and well-prepared food making it a perfect place to escape for an evening out, a fancy dinner or a special occasion.
With nothing around else it other than nature and tucked away in a mass of trees, Old Angler’s Inn is a spectacular hidden restaurant that is well worth adventuring outside of DC to visit!
