The One Place In DC That Transforms Into A Magical Harry Potter Wonderland
October brings a magic and mystery all across DC. While some Washingtonians prefer to get their spooks and chills on at terrifying destinations, others prefer to find something magical in DC. Well this year, you are in luck because there is one place in DC that transforms into a magical Harry Potter Wonderland and you need to go now.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
The Town Tavern in Adams Morgan has held a Harry Potter weekend every year but this year they took it a step further for Potter-heads.
As you enter, you will be greeted to the catchy tune of the Harry Potter theme playing from the loudspeakers. Every where you look is a fantastic tribute to the movie.
The house banners hang above the bar and broomsticks line the wall. The Honeydukes sweet shop stand serves chocolate frogs and Bertie Botts Every Flavored Beans.

You'll see Dementors floating in the air. Hedwig watches the crowd from her cage and Aragog stays in his spiderweb just above the bar.

Of course, the menu sticks with the theme with Harry Potter inspired cocktails!

You can indulge in a Butterbeer, Goblet of Fire, Polyjuice Potion and Unicorn Blood, among others.

The Tavern is hosting Harry Potter inspired events including trivia nights, Great Hall Dance parties and Potter-themed comedy shows.
If you love Harry Potter, then we suggest you get to the Very Potter Tavern soon. By next month, the magic will have disappeared and the bar will return to its Muggle form.
