County fairs are one of the best American past times. They have thrilling rides, exciting games, and fantastic fried foods. You may think living in a city like DC that there are no fairs you can enjoy. But there are probably many more county fairs in the DC area that you must visit this summer and fall!
The Howard County Fair began in 1946 and is dedicated to displaying exhibits and holding competitions of agricultural and horticultural products. There are amusement rides, games and live music! You can also watch pie eating contests, tractor pulls and so much more! The fair takes places August 5-12 at 2210 Fairgrounds Road W in Friendship Maryland.
The Montgomery County Fair began in 1949 and has more than 50 buildings filled with 5,000 animals every year.
