Food lovers should rejoice because we have found the greatest food festival for you! Every year, the Taste of DC takes over downtown DC as a celebration of food and fun. Even if you don’t love food, you are guaranteed to enjoy the best food festival in Washington DC.
The Taste of DC is a premier festival bringing together food, drinks, and plenty of entertainment.
The event takes place on Pennsylvania Avenue and spans more than half a mile. It is packed with some of the best restaurants, breweries, and wineries.
The main attraction at Taste of DC is Restaurant Row, where 60 of DC’s best restaurants and eateries sample their favorites.
It’s a great way to try some of DC’s best restaurants on a budget. Each restaurant features tasting items priced between $1 and $3 with other bites available for less than $10.
There’s more than just food at Taste of DC. There are various locations around the festival for food and drink.
You can taste of beers from local breweries at the Bier Garten or stroll through the Wine Walk to sample wines from local wineries.
There are four ways to enjoy the festival depending on how much you really love food.
The general admission ticket includes admission to the festival, a drink voucher and access to the different stages. You can also upgrade to the Festival Drink Lovers Package and enjoy everything in the general admission ticket, as well as, $25 worth of beverage tickets.
The Tastemaker tickets give you complete access to everything the festival has to offer.
You can enjoy a private festival entrance, lounge seating, a specialty cocktail corner, coffee and express drinks with the VIP Tastemaker. Of if you can get the biggest package where you can enjoy everything the other packages offer, as well as, demonstrations and discussions with famous chefs and mixologists.
You can pair your food and drink with the great entertainment at the festival.
There are cooking demonstrations on the Culinary Stage and music from local artists on the Main Stage and the Beats and Eats Stage.
And you won’t want to miss the beloved Ben’s Chili Bowl Championship.
This year will be the the seventh annual championship and champion eaters from around the country come out to participate.
