There are many amazing festivals in DC but there is one festival every year that is unlike any other! For one weekend every year, you can turn your eyes to the sky as hundreds of hot air balloons fly high above the DMV area at the Flying Circus Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The Flying Circus Airshow is one of the best attractions near DC. Located in Bealeton VA, this airshow is perfect fun for all ages.

Since the 1970s, Washingtonians have been coming to watch stunt flyers perform incredible tricks in their beautiful antique planes.

For one weekend a year, usually in September, you can get a chance to join the high flyers up in the friendly skies.

During the Flying Circus Air Show Balloon Festival, local hot air balloon pilots bring their beautiful and colorful hot air balloons to the airshow grounds.

You can go up in a hot air balloon and experience incredible views of the area and make a once in a lifetime memory!

Afterwards, stick around to watch the unique airshow, making it a whole day of high flying fun.

The Balloon Festival will take place August 19th and 20th. Tickets to the air show are $15 for adults and $7 for children between that ages of 5 and 12. Hot air balloon prices are negotiated by the hot air balloon pilot and are not included your admission price.
