The Best Sight In The World Is Actually A Road Sign That Says Welcome To Connecticut
We absolutely love road trips – the farther the better! But we’ve gotta say, there’s something so spectacular about the journey back home. No matter how great a time you have cruising down the highway, enjoying seeing all the sights our great country has to offer, returning back home to that “Welcome to Connecticut” sign is a heart-warming feeling like nothing else. Once you hit that marker, you know you’re back in the land of stunning natural beauty that’s peak New England vibes.
Maybe you're coming in along the border with Rhode Island and spot the blue sign on the highway.
Or perhaps you're flying back home into Bradley International Airport in Hartford and catch a glimpse of the welcome to Connecticut sign as you leave the chaos of the airport.
Wherever it is that you see the sign, it reminds you that you're back in the Constitution State, the Nutmeg State - whatever you want to call it, we just like to call it home.
We have so much natural beauty here. For such a small state with a relatively dense population, there's a lot of nature to explore in all our majestic state parks and forests.
Of course, our cities are great, too. The bustling city of Hartford has so much to do and see. You also can't beat all the museums and opportunities for fun in New Haven.
Do you prefer our beautiful beaches? You can find some of the best beaches in New England in Connecticut, whether you're looking for romantic, rocky shorelines, or miles of sugar-fine sand.
No matter what it is that you love about Connecticut, it's home, and seeing that big blue "Welcome to Connecticut" sign brings a feeling of happiness each time it comes in view.
It can sometimes feel like everybody wants to complain all the time, but remember: there are a lot of great things about life in Connecticut! We’d love to hear what you love about the Nutmeg State, so share your favorite things in the comments.
