Most People Don’t Know These Small Towns In Connecticut Have AMAZING Restaurants
Small towns are often forgotten in the shuffle to find someplace to eat. While larger restaurants in metro areas get more attention, there are a lot of great restaurants hiding in the small towns of Connecticut. Often offering intimate atmospheres, local ingredients and unique home cooked meals, small towns are definitely the way to go!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Camille's Wood Fired Pizza delivers on thin crispy crust made the traditional way with the perfect amount of cheese. Or go for a healthier meal at Monet’s Table, who creates unique dishes with the freshest of ingredients.
Talk about riverfront dining! This town has built a dining center right on the water, from the tapas at Bartaco to the comfort food and seafare of the Black Duck Cafe.
Host to Cargill Falls, Putnam also has a number of delicious dining options. Stop by 85 Main for awesome gluten free options, or stop by the Victoria Station Cafe for thick burgers and cupcakes you won't believe!
Don't let this tiny town fool you! It's home to Francesca's Wine Bar and Bistro, where the menu changes weekly and the bar is always open. Plus there's Bridge Street Live if you're looking for a good meal with entertainment.
Home of seasonal seafood restaurant The Place, Guilford also has a number of year round delights. Check out the extremely popular Bufalina for a great pizza or stop by Ayuthai for some delicious upscale Thai food.
Any seafood junkie would be a fool not to stop by this town! Abbott's Lobster In The Rough has won the hearts of many state residents by consistently serving up lobster rolls to die for. There's also the delicious fries at Ford's Lobster and the oysters at Carson's Store.
Stop by for a peaceful walk and a visit to New Preston Falls before dining at Pantry, the perfect spot for a light salad and sandwich. Or go to Community Table for meals straight from the farm!
Rossini's Italian Restaurant And Pizza makes the best fresh bread you'll ever eat and Viron Rondo Osteria offers Italian classics and plenty of gluten free options. You can even snag a breakfast sandwich and start your day off right Bagelicious Bagels.
Visit the modern American West Street Grill for great menu options and some pretty sweet outdoor dining. The Village Restaurant provides a diverse lunch menu perfect for a Saturday afternoon.
Mirabelle's Italian Restaurant is great for a quiet night of hearty meals. You'll love the fair prices. You can also dine at Pizzeria Napoletana, another Connecticut restaurant out to prove that their state has perfected the pizza. And they're right! A Connecticut slice is far superior.
