With Attractions Galore, The Small Town Of Mystic, Connecticut Is Perfect For A Family Getaway

As a backseat occupant of our family station wagon, I can remember road trips to see cousins living near small-town Mystic. Back then, the big attraction was the aquarium, and it is still a favorite today. However, numerous fun places have cropped up to join it, making it a wonderful destination for a family getaway. Mystic offers “flying lessons” with no plane required, at its Fearless Flyers Academy. Or, scale the ropes by torchlight at Fields of Fire Adventure Park. Quench your thirst at B.F. Clyde’s Cider Mill and enjoy some apple fritters or cider donuts along with it. Finally, take a tour of the nautical or haunted variety at Mystic River Cruises or Seaside Shadows Haunted History Tours, respectively. These adventures are only a few of those offered in the little town of Mystic.
