This charming town has beautiful snow-covered scenery and plenty of festive winter events. The town’s population isn’t even 5,000, but this is a gorgeous destination that’s worth a visit at any time of year. Breathtaking scenery, fascinating history, and wonderful shopping all combine to make this a perfect winter day trip in Connecticut.
Firstly, Christmas in Mystic is amazing. The town gets all decked out for the holidays, with wreaths and lights everywhere you look. Santa even rides in on a tugboat!
