Looking for a beautiful waterfront trail in Connecticut? We have plenty. The state is full of rivers and streams that provide wonderful hiking opportunities. One of the best waterfront trails in the state is the Silver Hill Campsite Trail in Kent Falls State Park. It intersects with the Appalachian Trail, one of the most famous hikes in the entire world, but don’t let the AT’s intimidating length get you down. The Silver Hill Campsite Trail measures about 9.5 miles out-and-back, but it’s a relatively easy trail, with an elevation gain of under 700 feet. It follows along the Housatonic River for its entirety, so even the most directionally-challenged of hikers can’t manage to get lost on this one!
