When I say I’m from Connecticut, people usually have no idea what that entails. But it basically means we have a little of everything…. Except for sights. We have A LOT of sights. Here are some of my favorites:

This place has some good looking stuff, despite Family Guy's jokes.

With all the restaurants and shopping, this could be a prime location for romantics.

Making graveyards look cool. Something eerie, yet beautiful...

This waterfall is made of dreams and great for a rest stop if you like hiking.

People think this town is all attractions but its got some hidden corners worth seeing.

When the crowd clears out you can totally sit in the lifeguard chair.

This is a dam, people! Could have just built a wall, but Connecticut is better than that.

I think winter is easier to get through when your town has cool bridges.

Some say this is a "real" beach because it has soft sand.

If you are a writer, this place inspires.

I grew up on this place, and I turned out pretty well, so trust me when I say that this spot is amazing.

Paddle boarding at sunset past beautiful homes is kind of the best.

The opera house lights up the night, inside and out.

My favorite of the waterfalls. If you like the sound of water this place is mesmerizing.

I just want to run through this field with my arms out. And I hate running.
Connecticut is more than just small towns and big houses. We’ve got lakes, rivers, beaches, reservoirs, waterfalls, farms, and literally everything in-between, which means these sights are just a taste of what Connecticut has to offer. I dare you to find a prettier state!
