Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and maybe you are struggling with things to do with that special someone. If so, you might want to attend this Winter Festival that celebrates love in a most spectacular way. It is one of the largest festivals of ice sculptures in the United States and you can find it right here in Connecticut!
The event is in its 8th year and is one of the largest ice block festivals in the whole country. Activities will take place on Main Street downtown.
All of the ice carvings are sponsored by local businesses. After dark, the downtown area is lit up by fire torches adding a romantic glow to the street.

There are roaring fire pits and free hot chocolate available at the Putnam Congregational Church to help you warm up if looking at all the icy art makes you feel chilly.

Other must-see pre-carved exhibits this year include an ice slide, formal wedding dress, and a Ford truck.
