This Winter Wonderland Has The Most Spellbinding Lights Display In All Of Connecticut
Unless you’re related to the Grinch, most people love the holiday season. But there are others out there that REALLY LOVE the holidays. Those self-proclaimed Christmas lovers will do just about anything to show their seasonal cheer. From baking hundreds of decorated cookies to wearing Santa hats all months long, the celebration is the highlight of the year. One Connecticut resident shows his spirit by creating the most spellbinding lights display in the state. Welcome to Amarante’s Winter Wonderland…
Located on Pratt Road in Dayville, Amarante's Winter Wonderland is an epic lights display that mesmerizes its visitors at first sight. Guests are invited to stroll on the pathways through the sparkling yard to enjoy the decorations throughout the season.
The house is so spectacular that the display was nationally recognized in 2017. It garnered a first-place win in the season premiere of the ABC show "The Great Christmas Light Fight."
While the lights extravaganza spreads joy throughout the season, Daniel Amarante also creates it as a memorial to his father and fellow Christmas lover who passed away in 2012.
It is free to walk the winter wonderland, but donations are appreciated. The seasonal display raises thousands of dollars each year to benefit local charities. Check out the donation boxes on the property to add to the fundraiser.
