Fall in the Nutmeg State is a magical time, and the fall foliage in Connecticut is pretty amazing. Whether your favorite way of celebrating the season is visiting a pumpkin patch, checking out a great fall festival, or drinking some tasty apple cider, one aspect of autumn that’s undeniably awesome is the beautiful reds, golds, and oranges that deck out the trees. While pretty much any hike located within a deciduous forest will provide great opportunities for leaf-peeping, one trail that we’re particularly fond of is the Macedonia Brook State Park Loop Trail. This beautiful 6.8-mile loop is within the state park that shares its name, in the little town of Kent.

This is an amazing place to visit at any time of year. Kent is one of our favorite small towns in Connecticut, and the views from this trail are pretty spectacular, with overlooks that will let you see for miles.
